31 Days:: Tuesday’s Prayer
Day 21: Tuesday’s Prayer
“From [Christ] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” ~Ephesians 4:16
Wow. Lord, thank You so much for providing me with such a beautiful community of women with whom I can hash out life at Bible Study each week. What a gift it was this morning to be able to share my journey with them and feel as though my heart is safe in their hands.
This has been a rough week. I’ve felt those creepy crawly garbage thoughts that try to weasel their way into my brain and override all the truth and beauty and goodness You’ve put in there. I’ve been struggling with insecurity in a way I haven’t felt in several months. I felt dark, doubt-filled, self-deprecating thoughts trying to derail me from this amazing path You’ve been leading me on, Lord.
“I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me. When I was in distress, I sought the Lord… What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.” ~Psalm 77:1-2, 13-14
Thank You for breaking through the noise and rushing in to hold me and comfort me and send some of Your daughters to come alongside me and whisper encouragement and affirmation to me this morning.
You are good, good, good, God.
“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on who I can rely.” ~Psalm 59:16-17
Thank You, Lord, for how You orchestrated all of us to be there and to share the things we shared and to encourage each other the way we were all able to encourage each other. It was awe-inspiring to see You work that way. What a blessing.
Thank You, Lord, for how you’re working in my life and in the lives of the women I had the honor of being with this morning. Please continue to help each of us stay tuned in to You and to continue walking in the freedom and confidence that You alone have enabled us to walk in.
