This is the TRUTH
Here’s the deal, friends. We’ve all got a tape reel of lies and self-limiting mind chatter plaguing us at any given time. Even though we might try to ignore it, it’s there. So let’s do this today. Let’s proclaim what is TRUE.
So let’s do this. Let’s locate some truth and ponder it awhile. And then let’s just bask in all the peace and freedom that comes in the wake of that truth.
Say this out loud with me. Declare it. Claim it:
No matter what I may hear in my head or from the people around me, THIS IS THE TRUTH:
I am lavishly loved.
I have been created on purpose for a purpose.
I have gifts and talents that are unique to me.
I am equipped for whatever God has for me.
Even though I am flawed, I am enough.
It is okay that I am still a work in process. It is okay that I am covered by grace.
God cares about me and wants to connect with me.
He loves me more than I can ever imagine.
He chooses me. He is not burdened by me. He is with me.
He will never betray me, never abandon me, never abuse me, and never misuse me.
He is on my side, cheering me on, and celebrating me every step of the way.
He wants what is best for me.
He is capable of handling every challenge, every heartbreak, every sin, and every dark thought I have— past, present and future.
His compassion and grace and love cover it all.
He never fails.
He is good.
He is pure.
He hears me.
I can trust Him. I can turn to Him. I can run to Him.
He is safe.
He is my strength even when I am weak.
He will strengthen me and support me and provide for me and comfort me— no matter what.
He knows me more intimately than anyone else ever has or ever can or ever will.
And He loves me with an unending, indescribable, no-strings-attached love.
He always has and He always will.
*This is an addendum to the Finding Freedom series I wrote this past summer. I spoke on this topic at a conference workshop this morning and wanted to pass along the “declaration” we made together at the end of our time together. I pray it will encourage you as you continue along your journey of life.
